Courses
All courses at ILISA start on Monday. Depending on the time of the year we be more flexible with private one-on-one classes, so contact us if you will be taking private courses and would like to start on a different day.
Morning classes are from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a twenty minute break at 10:00 AM. Afternoon classes for students taking six hours per day are from 1:15 PM to 3:15 PM or sometimes later during our high season.
If you have registered for group classes but at your level of Spanish no group can be formed, you will receive 3 hours of private classes instead of 4 hours of group classes at the same tuition rate. This way, you'll be able to cover the same amount of program content without being helt back or feel in a group that is not your level.
Included in the Course Cost
All instructions and text materials (except dictionaries)
Free use of computer lab, Internet and e-mail.
Student ID for discounts on tours and car rental.
Homestay
Homestay includes breakfast, dinner, laundry service, private room, airport pick-up and transfer to host family. Homestay runs fron Sunday to Saturday. If you plan to arrive earlier or depart later, extra cost will apply.
Additional days of homestay due to early arrival or late departure should be arranged at the time of registration. Extensions of homestay once the course has begun are subject to availability. Homestays can be arranged for non-students on a space available basis.
In order to allow proper scheduling and due to our arrangements with the host families, all homestay arrangements and extensions must be made through ILISA.
Immersion Plus Cultural Activities Program
This programs includes 3 or more activities per week starting at 3:15 p.m. The teacher time is included in the program cost. There may be minor incidental cost for transportation, food, etc. The weekly program is announced each preceeding Friday.
Registration
A deposit of $US 200 per person together with a completely filled out application form is required at least 3 weeks before the start of the program. The deposit is applied to the cost of the course. We cannot make the necessary arrangement for your program without having received this payment.
The deposit is non-refundable but can be applied to your course fee if you reschedule your starting date within a six month period.
Payment
Payment of all programs is due on the first day of class. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, electronic online checks, cashiers' checks and international money orders. We also take major credit cards and Paypal.
We do take personal cheques but we cannot accept personal checks drawn against banks outside the USA (including Euro checks and checks from Canadian $ accounts).
Holidays
Each year's holiday schedule is posted on our website. There are no classes on these days and missed classes will not be made up except for private instruction. We also reserve the right to move public holidays.
Refunds
No refunds are made for any portion of classes or homestay once the program has begun unless a refund is requested in compliance with our satisfaction guarantee.
All cancellations or changes in the program beforehand must be submitted in writing and will incur a 20% cancellation fee.
