I missed (ore are gonna miss) my flight: what do I do?

Call us! In the US and Canada, our 800-numbers in the US are there to serve you. On weekends, call our emergency numbers (see your pre-departure orientation package).
If you fail to inform us and we have to come to the airport a second time, we will charge a second airport pickup fee of $ 25. Remember, airport or airline staff does not tell us whether you where on board or not which means they usually have to wait for more than an hour to make sure you where not on board. It's not fun an a waste of time.
What to do if my pickup party is not there?

Don't dispair. First of all, remember most Latinos are of a shorter stature. Look around well for somebody with a sign that carries your name. If you're sure there's nobody out there waiting for you, stay in that area.
We use very reliable people to pick you upa at the airport but something there is a delay. Your pickup party be caught up in extreme traffic, got a flat tire, etc. If there's still no sign of anybody after 15 minutes, ask somebody to borrow you a celphone to call ILISA's emergency number (in Costa Rica: xxx. In Panama: 6671-2112) for instructions.
Please don't eave the airport unless you've been told to do so by an ILISA staff member.
What day should I arrive on?
-
You should plan to arrive on the Saturday or Sunday prior to the start of your program, and to depart on the Saturday or Sunday afterwards. Our homestay week is calculated Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday. If you wish to arrive earlier or to extend your stay after finishing classes, contact us and, if possible, we will accommodate you.
